The instrument used for this study were the marital adjustment scale developed by G. B. Spanier and the climatric symptoms scale developed by Chi, Sung Ai.
Analysis of data was done by used of t-test, one way ANOVA and pearson¢¥s correlation coefficient.
The results of the study were as floolws ;
1. When the realtio:nship between middle-aged woman¢¥s martital adjustment and their general characteristics were explored, education (F = 3. 0437, P 0184) , menstrual state (F = 6. 5264, P = . 0018) marital state (F 4. 2254, P = . 0064) economic state (F = 8. 3679, P 0001) , menstural state (F
6. 5264, P = . 0018) , marital satisfaction (F = 8. 7436, P = . 0000) , husband affection (F=6.3918, P =. 0021) , good use of recreation (F=9. 5707, P=. 0000) were statistically ignificant.
2. When the relationship between middle-aged woman¢¥s
self-reported climactric symptoms and their general charactericstics were explored education (F = 4. 4150, P = . 0028) , Marital satisfaction (F = 8. 7436, P 0000) , menstural state (F=11.9786, P = 0000) , husbana affection (F= 6. 3918, P =, 0021), marital duration (F = 3.7190, P= . 0016) were statistically sighificant
3. Regarding the hypothesis, the relationship between
middle-aged woman marital adjsutment and their self-reported climactrics symptoms was statistically significant (r=-.27I2, P<. 001)
when the realtionship among middle-aged woman¢¥s for factors of marital adjustment and the degree of their self-reported climacteric symptoms were explored coincidence (r = . -1916, P < . 01) , satisfication (r = -.1790, P <. 01) , affaction (r= . -2010, P <. 01) , coherence (r= -. 2984, P <. 01) were satistically significant.
And also, when the relationship among middle-age woman¢¥s two group of their self-reported climacteric symptoms and their marital adjustment were explored. somatric symptoms (r=-.2597, P<. 001) , psychosomatic symptoms (r =-.3297, P<.001) was safistically significant. So the hyposthesis was
accepted.
The finding of this study¢¥, have implication for providing sub-data to menage of middle-aged woman¢¥s health, to solve the nursing problems, and to prevent and relieved climacteric symptoms.
